No doubt, everybody has his or her own habits. Some habits we have are good and some are bad.  We all are proud of good habits we are ashamed of  any bad habits. For all of us  it’s easy to keep good habit but hard to get rid of bad habits. One has to invest a lot of time and energy to create habits and  one they are formed they become a part of life and we find it difficult to break them.

It’s sad to see that most people have bad habit but fail to recognise their bad habits or even if they know about it ignore them. I know that in this world nobody is perfect but atleast we should see what good and bad habits we have.  Once in a while we should filter our lives  and through out all harmful things in our life so that we can enjoy life in a better way.

First of all we all should know what habits mean before jumping to filtering between good and bad. The word habit most often refers to something that you do often regularly, sometimes without knowing that you are doing it. Now that you’re familiar with the word habit let’s move ahead.
It’s easy to think of habits falling into black (bad) and white (good) categories. But habits also depend on our ability to exercise control over them.  Some habits are mild, some are moderate and then there are those that are strong and addective. Habits become difficult to break because they are deeply wired by constant repetition into our brain.

I know that breaking or overcoming habits is difficult. But, as the word “impossible” itself says “I am possible” it is possible to kick out bad habits. All we need to do is try and put in our sincere efforts. I believe that it’s important to think from within about  the habits we pocess and dedicatedly start working towards it.
I know that breaking a bad habit is not easy and a one day process. It will take time and will require willpower and determination. I have found hacks to trick your brain and kick the bad habits out of your life.

It is important that we know ourselves. Knowing ourSelves will help in identifying our good and bad habits. Once we identity our habits we also should know or understand the main reason of the habit to have been inculcated in us. Once we know the root of the habits within us it becomes a bit easy for us to start working towards the breaking of that habit.

It’s always advised on anything we start in life that always start small. Same goes for the breaking of bad habits also. We should start with small efforts and do little things which will in turn lead to bigger results. Taking small steps as I talked in one of my previous blogs is the key to achieving the ultimate goal of licking out bad habits away from life.

There are some common barriers to creating healthy habits. Understanding what they are can help us find solutions to overcoming them. We need to understand what are the barriers we need to create for ourselves and then work accordingly to inculcate good habits and eliminate the bad ones.

They say that a person is know by the company he keeps. So while we are trying to eliminate the bad habits in us it is best to avoid the company of people who follow that habit or stay away from the places we know will affect our determination. I suggest that one should always choose the company that a person keeps wisely and try to be with people who will help in inculcating good habits in us.

your habits:  It is difficult to change habits in one go. Therefore one must keep going and slowly and steadily try changing the habits. In this process try finding out alternative options to bad habits. Eliminating bad habits with replacement for them is always easy to change rather than strictly eliminating the habit and facing difficult to cope with it in the long run.

visitation is one of the techniques that is helpful . It helps us to stay focused, motivated and determined towards our goal. Visitation of ourselves without the bad habit will give us a picture of success and we will be able to work towards elemination of bad habits.

It is important that every step taken towards the elimination of bad habit  we see the small small achievements and reward ourselves for it. This will motivate you to keep working in the direction of elimination ov bad habits. Once in a while it is important that instead of the ultimate results small small results be appreciated.

Always remember that being harsh on oneself is not the right way to eliminate bad habits. Take it off step a time and be kind to your mind and body. There’ll be times when you many not succeed. This doesn’t mean that you should over to stuff and harm yourself. Just be easy and kind and go slow and see the difference.
I hope these eight tricks I share with you will be beneficial to you in some or the other way. I also hope that you all will once in a while filter out your habits and try to eliminate bad habits from your life.

  1. Very well written….i think the first step for "breaking bad habbit" should be self realization. There are many people who possess bad habbit but does not realize/ does not agree that they have bad habbit. To change a bad habbit one must convince himself that a particular habit is bad and " i need to change:.

    1. Yes, very true. Unless realization is not there nothing can change. Thanks for your valuable feedback
