As the year 2020 is at it’s end, I feel that it’s time that I look back at the year that has gone by and be thankful that despite all the events that took place we survived the year. I’m not writing this post to say thank you to all the god things that happened this year with me.

I’m here to share with you all my thankyou’s for all the “NO’s” so that I could triumph when I did it myself and said yes. And to the year 2020 I would like to say my biggest thank you, it’s because you said no that I am doing things myself.

The year 2020 was a year that was tough mentally, physically and emotionally for most of us. All over the world lots of problems were faced. Staying at home with no where to go made me dig deeper into myself and find out what I can do with myself in order to keep my spirits high and that is when I discovered my interest in writing and here I’m sharing my thoughts with you all

My wallet said No.

My body said No.

The entire year 2020 said No.

But I said yes.

Do let me know in the comments what is the one thing that you would like to say thankyou to for letting you down and leaving you to be by yourself.

  1. Dear Keen Writer,
That’s a beautiful perspective to have. And I congratulate you for saying yes and doing your passion. And for showing up every week and being consistent. You pass this year with flying colours, IMAO.
What I want to say thank you to in this context is rather private. I cherish this scene from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Askaban, in the Time Turner sequence, where Harry believes someone else (his dead dad) is going to arrive to rescue him and his godfather from the dementors, until realization hits that it is he himself who rescued them previously and thus remembers his true strength, as apparent in the well-formed stag patronus. As a child, I had felt confused as to what exactly Harry understood. Life has a way of making us go through adventures parallel to our fictional heroes. So, here I would like to express gratitude to myself for finally understanding and being my own hero and saviour. And thank you for giving me the opportunity to take a moment to do that.

    1. Yes sometimes we don’t understand your inner strengths and potential as we are mostly dependent on others for certain things. The rejections or Nos are the ones that make us realise what we are worth of. Hence I put this perspective into view. Thanks for opening up so much and being a constant reader of my blogs

  2. I’m extremely pleased to discover this website. I wanted to thank you for ones time just for this fantastic read!! I absolutely enjoyed every part of it and i also have you bookmarked to see new stuff in your site.
