This statement is not a simple statment. It has the power to change destinies. What I believe is that dreaming big means having the mental freedom to think about what you really want out of life and forget about all the reasons why you can’t make it. For me it means having high standards for your life and setting the bar high for yourself.
We are born dreamers with big ideas and amazing goals but somewhere along the way things get complicated dreams become clouded with paralyzing fear and out that screamed accept the status quo.
It takes guts to change your dream. Turning dreams into reality takes ambition, determination and commitment to never give up. I believe in dreaming bigger.
I always have a passion for writing and I dream of a earning through my writing I know that since I have just started I have a long way to go. I am not going to stop doing whatever it takes me to achieve my dream.
In our dreams we all see ourselves, but what if you were born completely blind? Would you be able to see yourself in your dreams? Or would you only imagine it? Derek saw himself, despite never being able to see before.
I introduce you to the story of Derek Rabelo, the blind surfer who inspires us to dream bigger and do everything possible to achieve it.
Derek’s dreams were big before he was even born. Upon learning that he would soon have a son, Derek’s father began praying that his son might one day find fame in the professional surfing world. An avid surfer himself, Derek’s father even named his son after Derek Ho, the first Hawaiian world-surfing champion.
But when Derek was born blind from glaucoma, it seemed his father’s dream was over. Instead, Derek maintained the dream and at the age of 17 began rigorously training to become a surfer, despite his inability to see the waves around him.
Derek is now a professional surfer, having taken his father’s dream and made it his own reality. Today, he travels all around the world delivering inspiring speeches, visiting surf camps, attending conferences, and, of course, surfing.
Guys if Derek can do it then so do you. Same like Derek we need to believe in our dreams and do bigger and work hard to achieve them.
If you’re reading this blog till the end I know for a fact that you really want to dream big and do bigger. I want you my readers to dream and achieve even more than you ever thought possible. I know that your dreams can become reality. You just have to take off. Picture your dreams, then watch and see how they come to life.

  1. Dear Keen Writer,
I am grateful that I read your blog today for it is exactly what I needed to hear. Between dreaming big and taking small steps towards it, when our commitment and perseverance are tested due to inner and outer obstacles, it feels so good to come across serendipitous encouragement like this which boosts our willpower.
It is important to dream and creatively visualise what we want, for then we open up chances of making it a possibility in our mind. And then, allow the universe to conspire with us to make our dream come true.
I am reminded of Jim Carrey's story, which is another powerful example of dreaming big and doing.
    Keep writing!
